Heads Up! The Japan Pavilion in EPCOT Looks Different Right Now!

Heading to EPCOT soon? Well, if you haven’t been in a few weeks, you’ll likely notice a LOT of changes — we certainly have!

We keep a close eye on things in Disney World every day, so trust us when we say that we’ve been watching EPCOT’s changes throughout the year. Test Track is finally back open, a unique experience has finally returned to the park after five years, and now, there’s a new temporary dining location you should check out in World Showcase!

Over in the Japan Pavilion, we began to notice construction walls popping up in the area back in June. Specifically, they were located near Garden House, the outdoor sake bar in the pavilion.

Previously, there were walls up around the picnic-style seating that used to be beside the stand, and now, the construction has taken over so much that the stand is currently closed. Not to worry, though, because there’s a new temporary location inside Mitsukoshi!

Taking a look inside, the menu is largely the same, except the regular cold sake, sparkling sake, canned sake, and bottled beer options are currently not available.

At this time, there’s no expected timeframe for when the original Garden House location will reopen, so we’re glad this is here for the time being, allowing guests to still enjoy a cold drink on a hot summer day.
