Your Next EPCOT Trip Is Going to Look Totally Different

Disney has made some major moves for summer 2025, and if you’re heading to EPCOT soon, you’re in for a totally new experience.

EPCOT

From a Goofy-led party takeover to exclusive Annual Passholder perks, there’s a LOT changing in a short amount of time. Whether you’re a park regular or someone just trying to keep up, here’s everything you need to know about what’s new — and why your next EPCOT day is going to feel like a whole new world.

Goofy Is Taking Over CommuniCore

First up, let’s talk about the biggest change: Goofy is officially the new host of summer fun at EPCOT. CommuniCore Hall will be temporarily closing on May 12th to get ready for its brand-new role in the “Cool Kid Summer” lineup — and when it reopens on May 27th, say hello to GoofyCore.

This isn’t your average character meet-and-greet. Disney’s calling it the “GoofyCore Play Experience,” and it’s going to be an all-out party for kids and families. We’re talking DJ-led dance parties, interactive games like “Loopy Limbo” and “Parachutes ‘n’ Pipsqueaks,” and a whole lot of Goofy energy.

Hi Goofy!

It’s basically a mini summer festival just for the little ones, running through September 1st. CommuniCore Plaza will stay open during the changeover, and you can still meet Mickey & Friends at the attached character spot — but the Hall itself is all Goofy, all summer long.

Annual Passholder Perks Are Getting Even Better

If you’re an Annual Passholder, EPCOT is the place to be this May and June. Disney’s rolling out the red carpet for Passholders with exclusive merch, limited-time freebies, and even an exclusive lounge.

Mistress of Evil

Let’s start with the magnet — because we know how serious the magnet game is. Right now, Passholders can grab a Maleficent-themed Annual Pass magnet for FREE inside Creations Shop at EPCOT. Just show your valid pass and ID. Supplies are limited, so don’t wait too long — these magnets will run out.

And it doesn’t stop there. As part of V.I.PASSHOLDER Days, you can chill out in an air-conditioned lounge at Restaurant Marrakesh in the Morocco Pavilion from May 14th to July 13th. It’s open daily from 11 AM to 7 PM (subject to change), and yes — it’s also FREE.

Expect comfy seating, spots to charge your phone, a Passholder-exclusive button, and special PhotoPass moments. Just know it’s first-come, first-served — so if you want in, show up early.

Grab That Exclusive Merch While You Still Can

If you’re a fan of the 2025 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, you’ll want to act fast. The festival wraps up on June 2nd, and that means Passholder-exclusive merch is going with it.

For example, there’s a brand-new tumbler featuring artwork by Joey Chou. It’s inspired by classic Disney World moments and fan-favorite magnet characters.

You can buy it (non-refillable) with a non-alcoholic drink at select locations, including:

You’ll need to use mobile order via the My Disney Experience app, and yep — these are while supplies last too.

Phineas and Ferb Are Finally Here to Stay (For Now)

If you’ve been missing Phineas and Ferb in the parks, we’ve got good news. Starting June 1st, the iconic stepbrothers will be doing meet-and-greets in EPCOT all summer long. They’ve popped up at special events like Jollywood Nights before, but this time it’s a regular thing.

Their return also lines up with the premiere of their brand-new show — airing on Disney Channel June 5th and hitting Disney+ on June 6th. So if you want to meet them before they blow up (again), now’s your chance.

Bye Festivals… For Now

Here’s something that might catch you off guard: From June 2nd to August 29th, EPCOT is going to be festival-free. That’s right — no food booths, no topiaries, no special entertainment. Just EPCOT being EPCOT.

This gap between Flower & Garden and Food & Wine might mean regular dining spots are busier than usual, since guests won’t be grazing their way around World Showcase. On the plus side, if you’ve been wanting to experience EPCOT without the festival crowds, this is your window.

Adults-Only Lounge

Let’s be honest — sometimes you just want a drink and a break from the crowds. Enter GEO-82, the new adults-only lounge opening June 4th inside Spaceship Earth.

This retro-inspired spot nods to EPCOT’s 1982 roots and will feature specialty cocktails and small bites. It’s designed for grown-up vibes and chill EPCOT nostalgia, all with amazing views of the park’s icon. We’re counting down the days.
