The Longest Waits at Disney World Today Were NOT in a Park

Welcome to Memorial Day weekend, where Disney World often gets pretty crowded!

While we were bracing ourselves to see some pretty high wait times throughout the parks, since not only is it a holiday weekend, but many kids are out of school for the summer and vacations have just begun. However, imagine our surprise when we found that some of the longest rides on property were FAR from the theme parks!

When we pulled up to Disney Springs for a dining review early on Memorial Day, we were SHOCKED to find that parking was VERY hard to find. Nearly every single level of the Lime Parking Garage was completely full.

It only got worse when we made it to security — look at how backed up the line was!

Thankfully, it moved relatively fast, but this was the busiest we’ve seen Disney Springs in the MIDDLE of a weekday in a long time. With today being Memorial Day, it’s very likely that many people booked dining reservations in Disney Springs, or were hoping to snag one once inside. When we got to T-Rex for our reservation, people in front of us without reservations were being quoted an hour long wait!

With that being said, if you’re heading to Disney Springs at any time of day today, beware of these crowds and allow yourself extra time to make it to your reservation!
