3 Animal Kingdom Restaurants We Avoid at ALL COSTS

Sorry Disney World, but we’re playing favorites when it comes restaurants at this wild theme park.

Animal Kingdom

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is home to some fantastic attractions, amazing animals, and pretty awesome dining experiences. With all that said, not everything is perfect. In fact, there are a few restaurants we intentionally choose to skip when we visit.

Don’t get it twisted — we take our job very seriously and eat at EVERY Disney World restaurant. However, in our personal time, we tend to skip these three Animal Kingdom restaurants.

Rainforest Cafe

It’s not that Rainforest Cafe is bad — it’s just that it’s not good nor unique enough.

The food quality varies, usually, between poor and average, and it’s not cheap. We try our best to avoid overpriced restaurants.

It’s also not unique to Animal Kingdom. There’s another location at Disney Springs and lots of other places as well, as it’s a global restaurant chain. You can possibly dine at this restaurant at home, so it’s really not worth the time and money especially when there are other, better options so close by.

The atmosphere is fun, though, and if you grew up loving this restaurant, we totally understand if you make it a point to visit every time you find yourself at Animal Kingdom.

Pizzafari

Our experiences at Pizzafari have made us sour on the restaurant over the years.

Pizzafari

Here, you’ll find puffy pizzas, the Greens and Grains Salad, and the Caesar Salad with Chicken, pastas, and more. The menu is largely simple and ideal for picky eaters, but that doesn’t mean the quality is superb or a must-try.

Pizzafari Spread

We actually have been slowly coming around to this spot, but it doesn’t compare to nearby options like Satu’li Canteen, Flame Tree Barbecue, and Nomad Lounge.

Restaurantosaurus

Animal Kingdom is arguably the most unique Disney theme park in the world, and that’s why we’ll generally avoid Restaurantosaurus.

Restaurantosaurus

This spot serves up classic American theme park fare, and while it’s not bad, it’s not adventurous enough and doesn’t move the needle for Disney foodies.

Dinosaur bones!

With that said, the theming in here is awesome, and we’ll break our no-visit rule often to stop by, grab a quick bite, and take it all in.

Take breaks in air conditioning!
