Your Guide to the BEST Eats and Drinks at the 2025 Lunar New Year Festival in Disney California Adventure

We’re here at the Disneyland Resort covering the 2025 Lunar New Year Festival at Disney California Adventure, and we’re bringing you all the latest updates!

Celebrate the Year of the Snake with us at this year’s Lunar New Year celebration from January 17th through February 16th, 2025 at Disney California Adventure! We’ve been excited to try everything this festival has to offer and now we finally can! Check out some of our favorite eats and drinks from the 2025 Lunar New Year Festival!

The festival’s marketplaces (booths) offer a range of innovative and delicious Asian cuisine, and we tried nearly everything. To see our favorites, read below!

Best New Eats

For our best new eats, we’re starting with the Strawberries and Cream Roulade at Paradise Garden Grill! 

This item was delicious! There were plenty of almonds and a good amount of strawberries. It had a light fluffy texture while being sweet but not overly sweet. It was a refreshing dessert, but we would say avoid if you don’t like almonds.

Next up is the Vietnamese Coffee Churro! This churro is available in two spots at Churros near Goofy’s Sky School and at Señor Buzz Churros on Pixar Pier.

This was amazing! It really does taste just like a coffee churro with a good sweetness to it that goes well with the bitterness of the coffee flavor.

If you drink coffee, we think this is probably a safe choice. It’s close enough to a regular churro with a tasty coffee flavor, and a heavy amount of coffee sugar, which isn’t all that different from cinnamon.

Best Returning Eats

For our returning eats, the Quesabirria Eggroll with guajillo pepper consomé was the standout!

The meat was tender and juicy and had a ton of flavor! The consommé was the perfect consistency. Combine both and you have a delicious snack! It’s not shareable because let’s face it, it’s too good to share.

This is a treat that we are so glad made its return this year!

Best New Drinks

For the best new drinks, the Peach Makgeolli Cocktail from Red Dragon Spice Traders takes the spot! This drink was peach rice wine, citron vodka, ginger liqueur, cucumber syrup, and white grape and lime juices garnished with a skewered frozen peach and grape.

The flavors in this drink were absolutely incredible! We tasted everything in the description and they all work together beautifully!

A word of caution with this drink, it will sneak up on you! You can’t taste the alcohol at all so be careful with this one.
