You never know what might happen while you’re at Disney World!
Temporary closures can occur at any time. Rides and experiences may have technical difficulties that cause them to close down for a brief period. When this happens, Cast Members work hard to get the ride back open for operation. However, it currently appears that an entire LAND is now temporarily closed in Magic Kingdom, and Cast Members are working to resolve the issue.
Frontierland in Magic Kingdom is currently closed up to the bridge near Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe. Cast Members have told us that it has to do with technical difficulties and the road going through the land.
As of now, the only attraction currently closed due to the land closure is Country Bear Jamboree. Also, Cast Members confirmed that the 2PM Festival of Fantasy Parade was cancelled.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad are still open. However, guests are being directed to go to those two rides through Adventureland and around the back side of Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe, where they can cross the bridge in front of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
UPDATE: As of 3:30 PM, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is also now closed.
The Cast Members are currently working to resolve the problem within Frontierland, more specifically the “old western town” section of the land. We’ll be watching for any developments of this closure. In the meantime, keep following AllEars for more Disney news!
Last time the area closed it was because of a sewer issue. Don’t know why, the only bathrooms are in Liberty Tree. It’s the land with no public restrooms.
O this lady again. You’re right I’m sure in a place as vast as MK there are no other utilities that support that giant park running under that area, but you’re right only one bathroom.
