Let’s talk about a Magic Kingdom staple today!
Back in September, we learned that the Country Bear Jamboree would be getting a NEW act inspired by classic variety shows found in Nashville, Tennessee. We just got a preview of the new show, so let’s talk about the new songs that are featured!
As you know, we found out way back at Destination D23, that Disney was going to be revamping the Country Bear Jamboree. This classic attraction, which has been around since 1971, was one of the last projects that Walt Disney himself helped to create, so understandably there has been some concern among the die-hard fans.
But it does look like it’s shaping up to be a great update to the show. Disney even shared that while there will be some fun new elements, “The Country Bear Jamboree will still have the fun and friendly tone fans enjoy with the same famous characters like the loveable Trixie, Big Al, and others.”
In the new act, Disney partnered with Nashville musicians to bring country, rockabilly, and bluegrass flair to the Country Bears’ usual songs. We previously got a sneak peek at some of the songs like “Bare Necessities” in a rockabilly style!
Now we have a FULL song list for the show:
- “Country Bear Musical Jamboree”
- “Try Everything” from Zootopia
- “Kiss the Girl” from The Little Mermaid
- “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” from Mary Poppins
- “A Whole New World” from Aladdin
- “Fixer Upper” from Frozen
- “Remember Me” from Coco
- “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” from Toy Story
- “The Bare Necessities” from The Jungle Book
- “Come Again”
There you have it! The brand new show officially opens on July 17th, so you don’t have to wait much longer now. Stay tuned to AllEars for more Disney news!
