Another update has come to Disney’s Hollywood Studios — and it’s one that will bridge the gap between divided fans.

It wasn’t too long ago that one of Disney’s Hollywood Studios rides received a BIG upgrade to its impressive attraction which seemed to help bring the crowds back in. However, since then, the hype seems to have died down to what it was before leaving us wondering if is there anything different that can be done to make it boom again — and we think we might have found it!
Star Tours has been a long-time-standing attraction at the park since its original opening back in 1989. And it seemed to really hit the spot with invested Star Wars fans with a mix of practical sets, simulated 3-D screens, and multi-sensory motion to the ride vehicle.

However, it’s one attraction that consistently sees low wait times with the exception of very crowded park days. But why is that? For a ride that seems like it has everything going for it, why wouldn’t it be a ride that everyone’s scrambling to ride? Maybe the answer lies within the ride’s actual story.

When the ride first opened, it featured familiar settings and characters that were available to the Star Wars franchise at the time (which we admit was pretty limited compared to what we have today). Just recently though, the ride’s randomized storylines were updated to include more current characters that have become popular in the Star Wars franchise and spin-off series.

Although we rode the ride to see the newly added scenes recently, we’re hardly one to pass up an opportunity to ride again (and again)! But, what we learned on our latest ride is that another change had happened as well. When we spoke to Cast Members working the attraction, they confirmed that the older scenes had been readded from the Star Tours ride before the latest update.

We were stunned to hear this news because that means Star Wars fans and even those just looking to take a spin on a fun ride will have more opportunities to see ride sequences play out with both older and newer characters giving all ages something to look forward to.

With this return, you could either battle forces against Darth Vader or Kylo Ren…

…gain aid from some familiar faces like Princess Leia or even one of the greatest Jedi around, Ahsoka Tano!

Whatever your adventure holds for you on your next ride, it’s worth another ride later! Since the whole storyline is built to mix up the locations you’ll visit and the cast of characters you’ll encounter, there’s no telling who you’ll spot next time!

They always do this with every Star Tours update. They lock the new sequences for a while so everyone has a chance to ride it and then they go back to randomization. My question is: how come Star Tours at DLR seems to always have a long wait when DHS almost never does?
My wife, daughter and I went to Disney at the beginning of the month with the daughter’s HS band. I rode Star Tours with my wife and then again an hour or so later with my daughter. I can confirm the change and thought it was cool to get different experiences, even if it was just slightly different.
Change the ending I see the whales 7 times in a row
