Are you a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) member? Do you take advantage of member perks when you visit Disney World?

DVC members can get discounts on select Disney World experiences, as well as early previews of new rides, like Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom. DVC members also get access to exclusive merchandise and discounts at select restaurants. One of the best perks, though, might be the member-exclusive lounges in the parks. Well, something has changed with the DVC member lounge in EPCOT.
These exclusive lounges are spaces set up just for DVC members where they can sit down and cool off with some nice air-conditioning (which is always much-needed during the hot Florida summers). There are also usually free snacks and drinks, too, as well as places to charge your devices. Basically, it’s a place where you can lounge (hence the “lounge” name).

In EPCOT, the DVC lounge is usually located on the second floor of the Imagination Pavilion. However, Disney recently revealed that this lounge would be closed from June 2nd through July 13th, 2024. The reason the lounge will be closed is that Disney has plans to refurbish it and spruce it up a bit for members. So when it reopens, it might be nicer than ever.

In the meantime, though, a temporary lounge is now available in The Odyssey Pavilion in EPCOT for DVC members.

We stopped by today to take a look at this new lounge. So here’s the deal: Disney has only blocked off half the seating inside the Pavilion exclusively for DVC members. The rest of the seating is for anyone.

We also noticed that, unlike the previous lounge, the drinks are not offered in a freestyle machine. Instead, you can get drinks in a bottle or can, but you can get as many as you’d like as you finish each drink. Snacks are also available and are handed to you across a table. You’re also allowed to bring your own food and drinks in if you want.

There are no complimentary phone chargers like in the other lounge, but there are plenty of outlets where you can charge your phone if you have your own chargers and cords. So if you’re heading to EPCOT and plan on using the lounge, be sure to bring your charger and cable.
This lounge will be available over the next two weeks while the other lounge is being worked on. So keep that in mind if you’re a DVC member heading to EPCOT soon.
