FIRST LOOK at EPCOT’s New Character Meet and Greet Area!

Oh boy! Disney just dropped an exciting teaser about the highly-anticipated CommuniCore Hall and it’s making us so excited!

It feels like we’ve been waiting for EPCOT’s transformation to be completed for eons (ok, years but close, right?) and the last of the massive overhaul to be unveiled is the CommuniCore Hall and Plaza. So if keeping a close watch on the construction progress just isn’t doing much for you anymore, Disney just gave us a peek at something we can expect to find INSIDE!

EPCOT’s biggest part of its massive transformation, CommuniCore Hall, is set to be revealed on June 10th, 2024 and we can hardly contain our excitement! So far, we know to expect a brand new show-themed to Encanto, a festival hub, and even a new meet and greet spot with some of our favorite pals.

Disney’s latest teaser update about the CommuniCore Hall shows us something we’ve never seen before! This sneak peek takes us inside the building and shows off the new space where you’ll be able to meet with the characters.

You’ll find Mickey in his classic long black coat, bright yellow bowtie, and red trousers…

…Minnie in her classic red and white polka dot dress…

…and Goofy in his iconic orange shirt, vest, and blue patched pants hanging around for photo ops and meet and greets.

They’ll be posing in front of a colorful backdrop featuring lots of color along with notable EPCOT staples like Journey Into Imagination’s building and the monorail line! It’s unclear if we should expect the backdrop to change seasonally or if this will be the permanent fixture to pose for a picture in front of, but we’re digging the new look! The space looks to be quiet and dedicated to meeting with the characters, much like we had years before in EPCOT at Character Spot.

Currently, you’re able to meet with Mickey and Minnie (who are also still meeting together in their platinum celebration outfits) just inside the Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival…

…and Goofy can be found near the main entrance just before you reach the fountain in front of Spaceship Earth.

All of these characters are anticipated to move into this new space starting with the CommuniCore Hall’s debut on June 10th, 2024 (so there’s still time to meet them in their current spots if you hurry)!
