Away we go! If there’s one thing we absolutely LOVE about Magic Kingdom, it’s the Festival of Fantasy Parade. This daytime parade is colorful, musical, and MAGICAL. It’s one of our favorite parts of an afternoon in Magic Kingdom, but soon, there will be an important change you need to know about.
If you’re planning a trip to Disney World, you might want to double-check your plans. Soon, Disney’s Festival of Fantasy will be a little different. Let’s talk about it!
OK, so if you’re unfamiliar, Disney’s Festival of Fantasy is an AMAZING parade that happens daily in Magic Kingdom. Currently, it is one of the ONLY parades you can see in Disney World, so it manages to attract some big crowds each day as it makes its way through Magic Kingdom.
In fact, we often recommend getting a spot along the parade route about 15–20 minutes before the show if you want a nice viewing location. Those prime viewing locations tend to fill up quickly.
We like to watch the parade from Frontierland — it starts next to the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure ride, then goes through Liberty Square towards the castle. From there, the parade ends by the front of Magic Kingdom on Main Street, U.S.A.
OK, now for the news. According to the Disney World calendar, we will soon be able to watch the Festival of Fantasy TWICE per day! For comparison, here’s the schedule BEFORE the changes. The parade currently runs once per day at 3PM.
But on May 26th, the calendar shows TWO showtimes — 12PM and 3PM. We’ve seen this happen in the past, but we’re SO glad to see this dual showing is back in action. That gives you more flexibility during your day in the park!
Disney didn’t share how long this change will last, but all showtimes after May 26th reflect the updated times. We’ll be sure to keep our eyes out for additional updates.
