2 Major CHANGES Have Begun at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and You’re Gonna LOVE Them!

Character meet-and-greets are one of our favorite parts of any Disney day.

We love getting to have conversations and take photos with our favorite Disney pals in all four parks. While we love seeing Kevin out and about in Animal Kingdom, we’ve been missing seeing our other Wilderness Explorer friends, which is why we were SO excited to find out they’re meeting once again!

Starting NOW at the Wilderness Explorers Club House in Animal Kingdom, located on Discovery Island (close to It’s Tough to Be a Bug), you can meet Russell and Dug from the movie Up!

We’ve seen these characters waving to guests far away in Hollywood Studios or on flotillas in Animal Kingdom before, but we haven’t seen them face to face in about four years.

Now, however, this meet-and-greet is back for all Animal Kingdom guests! When we went to check it out, Russell and Dug were meeting separately, so you may have to get in two different lines to meet them both.

Their meet and greet times are listed on the My Disney Experience App, so make sure to double-check those times before your visit.

We suggest heading over to the Clubhouse earlier in the day if this is a priority for you. Those meet-and-greet times are subject to change, so the sooner you’re able to check it off the list, the better. According to the app, it seems like these two characters take turns meeting guests, so check back every thirty minutes or so if you want to say hello to both!

Don’t forget you can also see Kevin roaming around Discovery Island throughout the day!

She’s a LOT of fun to see, so keep your eyes (and ears) peeled for feathered friends!
