My New Favorite Lunch Is in EPCOT, and It's Only $5

The EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival is officially underway, and now that I’ve had a chance to think about all the eats I got to try, I’ve got some hot takes to share.

But, the most important update is probably that I’ve officially found my new favorite lunch in EPCOT. Yes, it is a festival dish, and get this — it’s only $5. Yep, you read that correctly!

Let me sing you the praises of the Honey Bee-Stro booth at the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival. It’s pretty much what dreams are made of, and it was one of the best booths I tried all day — believe me, there were a lot. But, it wasn’t even the Chicken and Waffles that spoke to me, though they were very good too.

Nope, it was, in fact, the Honey-Glazed Cauliflower from this booth that carried me away to wonderment. It’s made with honey-roasted carrot purée, wild rice pilaf, spring vegetables, honey-blistered grapes, and sunflower brittle — and yes, it’s just $5.

I know what you’re probably thinking, “Quincy, this is a plate of cauliflower, how can it be your entire lunch?” But let me tell you — there is A LOT of food on this plate. It was pretty darn hefty, if I’m being honest.

It’s hearty and sweet at the same time. The earthiness of the veggies combined with the sunflower brittle is such a unique combination. Not only that, but the honey-roasted carrot purée was sweet and savory at the same time, adding to the overall complexity of the dish. The wild rice pilaf was fluffy and helped bolster the rest of the cauliflower as well.

Don’t be fooled, this cruciferous creation packs a punch and is plenty to keep me full all day — or at least until I see another Disney snack I can’t resist!
