If you’re planning a trip to Disney World in 2024, you’ve got a LOT to keep in mind.
Sure, there are the typical things like where you’ll stay, which parks you’ll visit, and where you want to eat. But, have you figured out when you’re going yet? There are so many new things coming to Disney World this year, and we just got a big update on one that might be worth waiting for!
A new show ‘Little Mermaid’ show is coming to Disney World! The show, called “The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure,” will take the place of the former Voyage of the Little Mermaid.
The show is set to debut in Fall 2024 and is fully reimagined theatrical production inspired by the animated movie. Just like Voyage of the Little Mermaid, it will include a mix of live actors and puppets in some scenes.
And, Disney has officially started looking for its two main characters: Princess Ariel and Prince Eric! The casting call lists the following requirements:
- Ariel: 5’2″ – 5’6″ A spirited, fun-loving, yet curious mermaid princess who longs to be a part of the human world. Lyrical pop soprano with belt to C.
- Prince Eric: 5’10“- 6’0″ Charismatic and fearless, Prince Eric is a true romantic who never gives up on his heart’s desire. Non-singing role.
If you fit the descriptions and are interested in auditioning, head over to the Disney auditions website and search “Hollywood Studios,” and it should pop right up.
It has been confirmed that “Part of Your World” and “Poor Unfortunate Souls” will be in the show, as well as “Kiss the Girl” which was NOT part of the original production.
The show itself will be getting a “bold new design that captures Ariel’s imagination and emotions through her unique view of the world around her” according to Disney. While Disney is keeping more details a secret for now, we’ll be on the lookout for more updates!

How did you get a picture of Sebastian like that? Can anyone gets pictures with him or at least of him? I go to Disney World 3 times a year, and I have never seen Sebastian like that.
