Disney World Announces a BRAND NEW 'Little Mermaid' Stage Show!

We’ve been waiting forever for this Disney World news…and it’s finally here!

Since the 2020 park closures, the Voyage of the Little Mermaid show has been sitting at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with its doors shut. Disney fans have been patiently waiting for an update on the show’s return or something totally new — and now we have that answer!

A brand-new show called “The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure” is coming to Disney World! So don’t worry The Little Mermaid fans! The story you know and love is sticking around, just in a new way.

The show, which is set to debut in Fall 2024, is a fully reimagined theatrical production inspired by the animated movie. Just like Voyage of the Little Mermaid, it will include a mix of live actors and puppets in some scenes.

Disney Live Entertainment has been working on this new telling of the show for over a year bringing new elements to the beloved story. It has been confirmed that “Part of Your World” and “Poor Unfortunate Souls” will be in the show, as well as “Kiss the Girl” which was NOT part of the Voyage of the Little Mermaid show.

Based on the description, it seems like there won’t be any songs or touches from the new live-action movie. However, you can meet the live-action Ariel over at Walt Disney Presents.
