We Spotted a Subtle but Important CHANGE at Magic Kingdom – It's the End of an ERA!

It’s the end of an era. It’s the changing of the guard. It’s the time to start fresh. It’s a new year in Disney World!

OK, so it’s a new year. So what? Well, we’ve already noticed some changes around Disney World — let’s take a look!

It was a normal day in Disney World. We parked our car at the Transportation and Ticket Center, hopped on the monorail, and headed straight for Magic Kingdom. When we arrived, a subtle (but important) change caught our eyes. Notice anything?

The Disney100 AND holiday decorations are GONE — including those Mickey and Minnie topiaries in this center planter.

It’s looking pretty empty here!

For reference, here’s what the Magic Kingdom train station looked like BEFORE the recent changes. That big ol’ 100 is officially gone.

Most recently, Disney also had some festive Mickey and Minnie topiaries in that center planter. But those are gone now, too. What will take their place now? We’d love to see a fun Valentine’s Day creation — anyone else?

Luckily, the front of the Magic Kingdom train station is pretty picturesque on its own. We’ll still take way too many photos here, even if there aren’t any extra decorations. We have no shame!
