Beware of This NEW Disney World Hotel Transportation PROBLEM

When you plan a Disney World trip, there’s a lot you need to keep in mind.

Where are you going to stay? What will you have to eat? And how will you get to all the places you need to go?! Disney World offers free transportation throughout the parks and hotels, but if you’re visiting soon there’s a closure you might want to know about.

Heads up if you plan on taking boat transportation in Disney World soon — a closure may impact your travels to Disney Springs! A Cast Member informed us that the Sassagoula River Boats won’t be running from September 28th to 30th while Disney works on repairing the retaining wall by the bridge.

This means that folks staying in the Disney Springs area hotels won’t be able to take the boats to Springs like they normally would. Here’s a look at the hotel that will be affected:

• Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Treehouses
• Disney’s Old Key West Resort
• Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter
• Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — Riverside

The Cast Member we spoke to shared that this is just a short closure and isn’t expected to last as long as the previous one did. Still, if you were planning on taking the boats to and from Disney Springs and any of these hotels, you’ll have to find other means instead!

Of course, you can hop on the ol’ faithful Disney buses to get to your destination or take a rideshare service instead.
