A sea of ponchos

One of the biggest disruptions might be ride and restaurant CLOSURES. To help you prepare for your upcoming vacation, check out all the pre-scheduled closures that will affect the Disney World parks and hotels from July 23rd through the 29th.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

Splash Mountain closed on January 23rd, and it’ll remain closed until late 2024.

Disney is re-theming the ride to give it a Princess and the Frog theme. When it reopens, it’ll be called Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

On a recent trip, we spotted the new “Tiana’s Foods” water tower up in front of the ride. We’ll keep an eye out for more updates.

Shiki-Sai is expected to open in the summer of 2023.

Refreshment Station

Refreshment Station is closed right now, but it’s expected to reopen SOON, on July 27th.

That’s the start of the Food & Wine Festival, so we’re hoping that means some new festival items will be featured on the menu when it reopens.

When it reopens for the Food & Wine Festival, it’ll serve Braised Beef Poutine along with Traditional Poutine.

Disney World Hotel Refurbishments

There are several construction projects happening at Disney World hotels right now. Over at Fort Wilderness Resort & Campgrounds, the Trail’s End Restaurant is closed. When it reopens this summer, this spot will no longer be a table service restaurant. Instead, it’ll be “a marketplace concept with expanded quick service options.”

Trail’s End

There’s also lots of construction happening at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, as a new DVC tower is being built. You might see or hear construction if you’re staying at that hotel.
