A NEW Experience is Coming SOON to EPCOT’s Japan Pavilion!

It’s no secret that we love World Showcase in EPCOT.

Japan Pavilion

We love all the unique snacks and drinks you can find “around the world,” as well as the unique experiences found in each pavilion. If you’re visiting EPCOT soon, don’t miss your chance to experience a unique holiday at one pavilion (and no, it’s not the Fourth of July)!

While America may be celebrating the 4th of July this week, the Japan Pavilion is also celebrating Tanabata on July 7th.

This holiday is also called the Star Festival, and people write their most hopeful wishes on “tanzaku” strips of paper in honor of two star-crossed lovers, Orihime and Hikoboshi, who are allowed to meet once a year on the 7th day of the 7th lunar month (July).

From 11:30AM to 6PM, Cast Members will guide you in writing your own tanzaku and hanging it on the symbolic bamboo branches to let the stars carry away your wishes.
