There’s always going to be pro’s and con’s to everything.

When it comes to the Disney parks, you have people with opinions on both sides of the coin with things like Disney’s incredible theming, or the really long wait times. We wanted to turn to you AllEars readers and ask how you truly felt about Disney World’s newest coaster.
Yup. You knew it. We’re talking about the TRON Lightcycle / Run ride in Magic Kingdom. Now that it has been open for some time, we headed to our Facebook page to asked you for your honest feedback.
Give us your HONEST thoughts on TRON Lightcycle / Run in Disney World!
And boy did you deliver! Let’s have a look at the top three loves:
The launch and speed
Many of you described the launch experience as amazing and exhilarating. The ride gets up to top speed in only a matter of seconds!

With a max speed of 59 mph, this is definitely Disney’s fastest roller coaster.
The ride is smooth with unique seating
Many comment that despite its thrilling nature, the ride maintains a smooth and comfortable experience throughout. This smoothness enhances the enjoyment and allows guests to fully immerse themselves in the exhilarating journey.

About the ride vehicle, guests are seated in a forward-leaning position, resembling the iconic Lightcycles from the TRON franchise. People felt this riding position enhanced the sense of speed and adventure, making riders feel like they are part of the futuristic world of TRON.
The theming and pre-ride section add to the overall experience
Many of you praised the immersive and futuristic atmosphere, noting that it successfully transported you into the world of TRON. Many appreciated the attention to detail, from the sci-fi-inspired architecture to the glowing neon lights, which enhanced the overall experience.

You also felt that the theming stayed true to the TRON franchise, making you feel like they were part of the movie, which added an extra layer of excitement and immersion to the ride.
Now, let’s have a look at the top three things you didn’t love as much:
Overall ride time
Although the speed is exhilarating, the entire coaster experience is only about 60 seconds long from the initial launch to the ending zone.

That has many feeling that the ride could have been longer or had more ride elements, meaning that the ride may not be worth the long wait, especially considering its duration.
The ride vehicle
Many of you mentioned that the seating position was uncomfortable with some riders experiencing discomfort or even pain during the ride. You also expressed disappointment that the ride did not accommodate a wider range of body sizes and shapes. Although there are adaptive seats on some ride vehicles, there are not very many which means you could be waiting a little while for a seat.

Also, that the handlebars or leg restraints were not adequately padded, causing discomfort or even minor injuries. While they still appreciated the overall experience, these negative aspects of the ride vehicle detracted from their enjoyment and left room for improvement.
Uniqueness/Overall wow factor
Some mentioned that while TRON was enjoyable, it fell short in comparison to the thrilling and immersive experience offered by Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. They felt that TRON lacked the same level of excitement, theming, or overall impact as the Guardians of the Galaxy ride. They were expecting a more intense or memorable experience and felt that TRON did not meet their expectations in that regard.

Also, at the end of the day, TRON Lightcycle / Run isn’t a new or unique ride to the world. It’s a copy of the one in Shanghai, so many Disney fans give 0 points for originality there.
