The rollercoaster with motorcycle-style seating is coming to Magic Kingdom this year, promising exciting thrills. But if you’re hoping to get on this ride, there are some KEY details you need to know.

One of the biggest updates about TRON Lightcycle / Run doesn’t have to do with the ride but rather with your belongings. The ride looks to have a good amount of twists and turns and you wouldn’t want to lose your bag while zipping along this track, would you? Of course not! That’s why Disney has revealed that this attraction will utilize a locker system to store guest belongings while on the ride.

Disney has revealed that the TRON coaster will feature a “double-sided and digitized locker system” so guests can “store bags and loose items.”

Here’s how it works. Once you’re inside the attraction queue, you’ll find the lockers.

These are totally FREE, so there’s no need to pay anything to access them. The complimentary lockers will “pair directly with your MagicBand, MagicBand+ or ticket media so you can easily lock and reopen your locker with a quick tap.”

You’ll select a locker, scan your MagicBand or ticket, and insert all loose objects and hardware, as well as another other small objects you want to put away.

If you don’t have a MagicBand or other ticket media (like a card), you’ll be “provided with a card” so you can be assigned a locker.

Disney warns: “All items must be placed either in a locker before you board your Lightcycle.”

The only exception is that some smaller items can be placed “in a small compartment located on the attraction vehicle that can hold items such as cellphones, glasses or wallets.”

This looks to be a very small compartment based on the images Disney has revealed, so just keep that in mind.

Once you’re done riding TRON, you can come back to the lockers, find your compartment, scan your MagicBand (or ticket or card), open the locker, and remove your items.
