The Unexpected Problem You Might Find in EPCOT Right Now

There are some problems that you can expect to encounter in Disney World, like long lines or some rainy weather.

But, there are also unexpected problems that you might not be aware of until they happen to you, and by then, it’s too late! You might not realize that Magic Kingdom closes early on the day you’re planning to visit, or that a ride is closed for refurbishment. And right now, a surprising issue is happening over in EPCOT.

We were strolling by the Mexico Pavilion in EPCOT’s World Showcase recently when we noticed a BIG line out the door!

Now, this isn’t that unusual — this is a popular pavilion to get inside so there is a line sometimes.

However, the reason for the line today was not what we expected.

The Cast Members were making people wait in the lobby of the pavilion before they could go inside of the main part of the pyramid.

And, once we got inside, we realized the long line was for…Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros?

Yep, that’s right — this super chill boat ride is in high demand!

Usually you can expect a line to get into La Cava del Tequila in the pyramid, but it seemed like almost everyone was getting in line for Gran Fiesta Tour.

In fact, the line for the tequila cave was basically nonexistent, which if you spend any time in this pavilion you know is really rare!

We talked to a Cast Member and she told us that the line has actually been getting longer for the ride lately. She said she thinks that word has gotten out that the ride is a hidden gem and it’s suddenly become a must-do for people!

Everyone wants to see the Three Caballeros!

She told us the lines have been stretching all the way out the door at times, and that is definitely the case today!

Unfortunately, if you want to just get into the pavilion, you still have to wait in the initial line that all of these people are waiting in.

And, when we left, the line was STILL very long.

So, prepare for this possibility the next time you visit the Mexico Pavilion. Give yourself some extra time or try to visit the pyramid during a slow time.
