The Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser opened last year and it is truly an experience like no other.

We took you along with us showing you the food, the atmosphere, the experiences, and we ultimately told you if it was worth the high price tag. Ever since then, Star Wars fans and Disney World guests have been staying at the Star Wars Hotel, however if you have a trip this week it may be impacted by Hurricane Ian.
From Tuesday, September 27th through Thursday, September 29th, all voyages on the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser have been canceled. This is “due to the potential impact on the guest experience” according to Disney.

If you have a reservation during these dates, Disney asks that you call 407-939-5209 to help you modify those plans.

Power outages are expected to happen in Florida as Hurricane Ian gets closer — this could greatly impact the Star Wars Hotel. Guests pay thousands of dollars for this experience on the “ship” and to visit Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but it is possible the experience would have to be altered, so this is likely why Disney decided to cancel stays on these dates.

We’ve been watching Hurricane Ian and we’ll continue to bring you the latest updates that could affect your vacation. There are plenty of resources for you to check out:
