Are the Bunk Beds at Disney World’s Star Wars Hotel As SMALL As They Look?

We’ve received a TON of new information about Disney World’s upcoming hotel/experience, the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser.

Some guests have already been given a preview of the experience, and we’re learning a lot about how the schedule works, which activities we’ll participate in, and even more details on the rooms. One big question that we’ve had about these hotel rooms is whether or not a full-grown human can sleep in the bunk beds…and today we got our answer!

Disney has been sharing photos and concept art from the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser cabins for months, and honestly, they really seem to fit the theme of the rest of the ship! According to IGN, they’re not anything truly impressive in size. The site noted that they “feel like a room on a cruise ship, for better or for worse.”

The furniture is all rooted down and secured for “space travel” and the window that overlooks the galaxy is seriously impressive, very reminiscent of the larger ones at Space 220. In fact, “there’s always something neat to see on the screen, whether it be a new planet or a spaceship whizzing by, and what’s shown on the screen will change as the Halcyon charts its course through space.” You can even turn the window off at night if you’re looking to get some uninhibited shut-eye.

But what are the highly-anticipated “space bunks” like? Well, they may look small in photos, but don’t fear — StarWars.com notes that they’re big enough for an adult, even someone over 6ft tall could comfortably lie down in them! This is great news for the adults who are ready to claim that top bunk and feel like a kid all over again. The beds themselves are twin-sized.
