PHOTOS: Construction Scrim Begins to Come Down at Disney World’s Main Street Train Station

Magic Kingdom has been home to quite a few construction projects over the past year!

Disney has been adding new decorations to Cinderella Castle and other attractions in anticipation of the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary, and even an iconic shop has closed to undergo refurbishment. And, we’ve got an update on another project in the park impacting one of the most classic attractions!

The Walt Disney World Railroad has been closed for over two years as construction on the new roller coaster TRON: Lightcycle Run has been blocking a portion of the track in Tomorrowland. And, while it has been closed, the Main Street Train Station has been disguised under a construction tarp.

But, today we noticed that some of it is starting to come down!

The construction scrim on the top tower has been removed to reveal a portion of the clock tower!

Great to see you again!

The Walt Disney World Railroad is still listed on Disney’s website as being closed through October 8th (which is as far as the current schedule goes right now) at the least, but we’ll continue to keep an eye out for updates!
