The Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary is quickly approaching!

We’ve been sharing updates on all the construction projects and refurbishments going on around the parks and resorts leading up to the celebration. And, today we spotted a brand new detail on Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom!
Earlier this year, Disney announced that all four park icons would be getting a makeover and turn into “beacons of light” at night. We had seen new decorations added to Cinderella Castle in the spring and now the final touch has made its way onto the icon! Here’s what the castle looked like yesterday…

…and here it is now!

The 50th Anniversary logo has been added where the clock used to sit and it’s got all of the purple, blue, and green colors that make up the color scheme of the celebration.

Now, the castle looked great before, but this definitely finishes it off!

Other celebrations coming to the parks on October 1st include new costumes for Mickey and pals and a new cavalcade in Magic Kingdom, plus new daytime AND nighttime shows across the parks! And, it will all take place for 18-months in Disney World!

Of course, we’ll continue to keep an eye out for more updates on the 50th anniversary, so be sure to stay tuned to AllEars for the latest!
