It's Hard to Miss This Big Addition at Disney's Animal Kingdom!

There’s SO much going on at Disney’s Animal Kingdom this week for Earth Day!

Whether you’re popping in to say hi to some rare characters, or trying out some of the new activities, there are tons of things to do in the park this week!

Just when we had wrapped up our walk around the park, we noticed that a brand new sand sculpture was being created. The previous one was in honor of Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon, and this one has an Earth Day theme!

Whale, whale, whale, what do we have here?

We grabbed a quick video as Cast Members were hard at work putting some finer details on the sculpture — seriously, how cool are these whales?

We spotted three total whales on the sculpture, in addition to a very detailed background and a sign displaying the name of the show its advertising: National Geographic’s Secrets of the Whales, which will debut April 22nd on Disney+.

We actually speak whale…

It looks as though the sculpture might be fairly close to being finished — both Cast Members were doing work towards the sides of the display.

Can you believe this is made of SAND?
