Disney has been working away at their punch list leading up to Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebrations starting this fall!

Over in Disney’s Magic Kingdom, we’ve seen them completely drain and refill Rivers of America, a few rides have closed for refurbishment (and later reopened), and Cinderella Castle has been getting some major TLC. And, today we noticed something BIG missing from a classic Magic Kingdom ride.
Last week, we discovered a construction permit that Disney had filed for some work on Peter Pan’s Flight entrance sign, but we didn’t know just how soon that could begin. And, it looks like work is already underway! While the entrance normally has Peter, Wendy, John, and Michael soaring in the clouds…

…today they are MIA and have been replaced by a banner that has Tinker Bell flying above.

According to the permits, the sign will be getting refurbished and will be back up to welcome guests after! For now, you can still ride Peter Pan’s Flight and visit with Peter and the gang on your journey inside! Stay tuned for more Disney news and updates!

Will you be going to Disney World for the 50th Anniversary celebrations? Let us know in the comments!
We weren’t originally planning to go during the 50th celebration but because of covid our vacation last year was canceled. However, I’m super excited that we now will get to go for the 50th celebration.
