It’s been another busy day of hurrying up and waiting for Disney dining reservations!
Disneyland Resort is getting ready to welcome guests back into the parks to explore dining locations, get some shopping in, and say hi to their favorite characters during A Touch of Disney. The ticketed events will begin on March 18th and a few dining locations will open inside the park, including Lamplight Lounge. Reservations for the restaurant opened today, March 11th, and we’re bringing you the latest update on how we were finally able to secure a reservation!
If you’ve been keeping up with us throughout the day, you know that we’ve been staring at this “Thank You for Your Patience!” screen since we woke up this morning. We DID end up getting a reservation — but not through the Disney website!
Thanks to our friend Heather (@diningindisney), we took to the My Disney Experience app to snag a reservation at Lamplight Lounge and had success! Here’s what you need to do — log into the My Disney Experience app and navigate to “My Plans.”
Then, select “Reserve Dining” from the menu.
You’ll be prompted to enter how many people are in your party and then search for the date. Be sure to select a date that you have a ticket for A Touch of Disney because it will be required for you to enter the park and be there for your reservation!
We played around in there a bit to see if we could still snag a reservation for Lamplight Lounge and were able to find one when we had our party set to 3. We were struggling to find available reservations for 1 to 2 guests, so it seems that those are much more limited.
This little tip can also work for finding reservations at Carthay Circle so give it a try if you’re having trouble! And, stay tuned for more Disney news and updates!
