Reindeer, gingerbread men, and toy Soldiers were spotted marching down Main Street, U.S.A! You know what that means, right?
The holidays have officially started at Disney World! To most, the Magic Kingdom is the most magically festive park to visit during the holidays. It’s dressed in the most lavish decorations and hosts some of the tastiest holiday treats. Holiday entertainment has been modified considerably this year, but you can still spot quite a few merry characters dressed in their holiday best! Come take a look at all the Christmas Character Cavalcades we spotted at the Magic Kingdom!
To allow for physical distancing, characters are now featured in cavalcades that frequently tour the parade routes throughout the day. Many of the characters we saw are notorious for entertaining guests during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. While the event was canceled this year, Disney decided to bring out some of the famous holiday characters from the parades and shows.
We spotted LOTS of familiar faces in the holiday cavalcades! Over near Frontierland, Mickey and Minnie cruised on by as they were dressed in ADORABLE Christmas outfits.
And, their best pals had to join in too as they got ready to wave to all the guests who were excited to see them!
As Pluto wore a jingle bell collar, Donald and Daisy matched in their festive red and green outfits.
Plus, Wendy and Peter Pan followed right behind them as Pinocchio and Geppetto put their hands in the air (like they just don’t care)!
The Mad Hatter was bouncing around Frontierland with a bit too much hot cocoa in his system…
…while Alice looked as pretty as an ornament as she wandered around to say hello to guests.
Tigger and Pooh even came all the way from the Hundred Acre Wood, just to party in the Magic Kingdom in their matching holiday scarves (besties forever).
Mary Poppins was ready for a spoonful of sugar and some holiday goodies…
…while Bert was ready to step in time to the Christmas music playing loud and proud in the park!
The cavalcade swung around onto Main Street and looked so magical in front of Cinderella Castle and the decorations in the area.
We couldn’t get over the amount of joy that the characters had in time for Christmas…
…as they continued to sing and dance for visitors of all ages.
It really felt like one big party today, especially since we started snacking on our favorite treats while we watched!

As we moved to Main Street, we got a few extra moments to greet Donald (who looked very handsome)…
…jam out with Pinocchio…
…wave to Pooh…
…have some girl talk with Wendy…
…and tell Mickey and Minnie how much we love them. SPOILER ALERT: They love us too!
But, the Christmas festivities didn’t end there, friends!
Next up, more familiar characters that have been plucked straight from the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade appeared during Goofy’s Scrumptious Cavalcade! Precious elves and gingerbread men brightened our spirits today as they welcomed everyone to the Magic Kingdom!
Anybody else just really excited that gingerbread and peppermints are back in season??
And, Goofy was ready to help satisfy our sweet tooth because he was baking up all sorts of goodies in his gingerbread house!
We wonder how long it took him to make that float and how much icing he used.
Goofy’s son, Max, also took a few notes from Vanellope von Schweetz as he drove a go-kart around the area!
We’re sure Max probably passed his driving test with flying colors… well, we at least hope he did.

But, there was another baker on the horizon as Clarabelle helped bring the Scrumptious Cavalcade to life from her kitchen!
We have to say that her outfit was ON POINT with matching shows and a bow to go with her dress and apron decorated with Christmas goodies!
Later, the familiar sound of drums and trumpets drew near as the Santa Cavalcade began. One of our favorite sights to see during Christmas happen to be the infamous Toy Soldiers.
And we have the return of the toy soldiers!🎶 pic.twitter.com/ArzHWpa9Hz

The soldiers are usually accompanied by real musicians that march alongside the rest of the unit.
This year, the beloved Main Street Philharmonic marching band accompanied the soldiers!
What’s that on the castle horizon? Could it be eight of Santa’s reindeer? Yes, indeed, it is!
Dancer, Vixen, Rudolph, and the rest of the gang looked fabulous in their matching red bows as they pranced around Main Street.
Well, if reindeer are spotted you KNOW old St. Nick can’t be too far behind…
….and there he is! Father Christmas has arrived at the Magic Kingdom. He’s looking as jolly as ever on his fancy sleigh.

Santa had plenty of gifts packed in his sleigh, ready to deliver presents to boys and girls of every age this Christmas.
And, while Santa’s ready to take flight in Disney World for the holiday season…
…he wouldn’t have been able to do it without his helpful band of elves!
By the way, Santa Claus makes appearances at all four Disney World parks AND Disney Springs. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to meet the big man this holiday season!
As the cavalcades wrapped up, more of Pooh’s friends also returned to the Magic Kingdom in their holiday get-ups! Piglet waved from the back of the Main Street Trolley…
…while Eeyore and Rabbit also looked cozy in their little scarves to smile at people passing by.
If that wasn’t enough cavalcade merriment, we also caught the Royal Cavalcade coming down Main Street, U.S.A.!

This cavalcade uses the same floats the princesses have appeared on for all of their royal processionals since the parks have reopened.
All of the princesses were wearing their “holiday” winter gear, including Snow White…
…as well as Belle, wearing her signature holiday dress inspired by the dress she wears in Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas!
There’s nothing like Belle in her holiday dress to get us in the spirit!
Of course, the Fairy Godmother was also part of the Princess Cavalcade! We wouldn’t have one of our favorite princesses without her!
Speaking of which, Cinderella was spotted waving to guests, also wearing her winter gear!
Merida is still riding Angus, just like in the other princess cavalcades from this year!
Ariel is also looking stunning in her winter attire!
We also spotted Elena of Avalor!
The princesses are just as excited as we are to ring in the holiday season!
Their float, of course, is decorated with tons of holiday cheer, with garland and ornaments adorning both sides!
Phew! What way to kick off the holidays! And, remember to stay tuned with us since we’ll be reporting on ALL the sights, sounds, and tastes of Christmas you can find in Disney World.
Here’s a look at the rest of the decorations you can find in the Magic Kingdom for Christmastime!
