The Luna Park Pool at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn is getting some major work done!

The infamous scary clown slide (a.k.a. Keister Coaster) will feature a brand new look in the next few months. Construction started in October and we’ve been keeping tabs on the slide’s progress and watching for a reopening date.
When the refurb was first announced, Disney stated that the waterslide would be unavailable through November 2020. Disney World’s website now reflects a new end date to the pool’s construction.

The website states that Disney expects the “waterslide to be available again before the end of 2020—though dates are subject to change. Work in the pool area will continue through the end of this year.” This is a slight delay considering November was the original end date.

The rest of the Luna Park Pool and two leisure pools will remain open while the clown slide is under construction. We’ll continue to check the Disney World website for more updates regarding the slide’s refurb and keep a lookout for a reopening date.
