NEWS: Waterslide at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort Will Close for Refurbishment Next Month

As Disney World continues its phased reopening, a number of projects are taking place throughout the resort hotels. One major project taking place is at the non-DVC side of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, which will remain closed through summer of 2021, in part to re-theme the resort to a Moana-inspired design.

Other projects are smaller in scale and don’t require a complete closure of a resort, but may be inconvenient to those staying at the resort. If you have an upcoming reservation for Disney’s Boardwalk Villas, you may want to hear about an upcoming renovation taking place at Luna Park Pool.

According to Disney’s website, the Keister Coaster waterslide will be unavailable through October 5th through October 30th. These dates, however, are subject to change, and work will continue around the pool area through November.

The Luna Park Pool itself will remain open and available to guests while the waterslide is being worked on. Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and Villas has two leisure pools in addition to Luna Park Pool that will also be open.

Keep in mind that at this time, only Disney’s BoardWalk Villas are currently available. Disney’s BoardWalk Inn is closed until further notice.
