With her ever-present smile, can-do attitude, and affinity for sugar, we’ve always had a soft spot for Mary Poppins!
So any time we’re strolling through the United Kingdom pavilion at Disney World, we’re always on the lookout for the “practically perfect” icon! And as of today, it seems Mary is on the move with a new meet-and-greet spot!
Ever since reopening, character meet-and-greets in the parks have changed a lot. Hugs are out; air hugs are in!
In the era of social distancing, this means that beloved Disney characters like Mary Poppins wave at us from afar. But even from several feet apart, the warmth and magic is still palpable!
At Epcot’s United Kingdom pavilion, one such meet-and-greet typically took place at the gazebo in the back of the country, but today we found Mary Poppins in a new spot!
It’s fitting that she’s migrated to the garden, because being surrounded by beautiful flowers seems to really fit with Mary’s persona!
Dressed in her classic white-and-red dress and gloves, she smartly brought her umbrella and sun hat along with her, because…Florida.
No matter where she is in Disney, Mary Poppins always knows how to make us smile, even under our masks! We will continue to look out for distanced meet and greets in Disney World.
