NEWS! Three More Disney World Restaurants Have Been Added to the New Virtual Waitlist on My Disney Experience!

We’ve got some more updates on Walt Disney World’s new Walk-Up Waitlist feature!

Chef Mickey’s

The new feature is available on the My Disney Experience app and allows guests to join a waitlist at certain Disney World restaurants. The app shows whether the restaurant is currently taking walk-ins and the approximate wait times. The feature was launched with many restaurants like Whispering Canyon from Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Kona Cafe from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Now, three MORE restaurants have been added to the list! All three restaurants are located in Disney’s Contemporary Resort. The restaurants also happen to be crowd-favorites among Disney World fans. Guests can now virtually join the waitlist for California Grill, The Wave…of American Flavors, and even Chef Mickey’s!

The Wave…of American Flavors

The My Disney Experience app has become a crucial tool for Disney World vacations. Mobile Order is King when it comes to grabbing food from a quick-service location. And some gift shops and experiences have started using virtual queues to manage limited capacities. We suggest downloading the app and familiarizing yourself with all the features before you make your way to Disney World!

  1. I read yesterday or day before that a DVC owner tried to visit his home DVC resort and was told by security that he couldn’t due to limitations of people visiting resorts. He would have needed a room or dining reservation in order to come onto the property. If Resort restaurants are allowing walk-up requests for dining, how will this work with security at the resort gates?

  2. Any news on resort pool hopping you can share? Not sure if that’s just a DVC thing or if anyone can do it, but we like doing when we have meals at other resorts. We heading down in October after rescheduling twice and we’ll be doing a lot of resort meals. Thanks.
