Since the Disney World Resort began its phased reopening back in May, we have seen some upcoming projects move forward, while others have halted in their tracks.
Despite seeing new additions at Disney Springs like the Shine & Social Bar at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’, other projects have been negatively impacted by the closures to the point of needing to pause construction.
We have received confirmation from the team at Beatrix, a table service restaurant based in Chicago coming to Disney Springs, that construction has been halted due to the pandemic and a restart date has yet to be determined.
Based on our conversation with the Beatrix team, it doesn’t sound like the project is completely cancelled, but for the time being there will not be any progress on the restaurant. When it does open, Beatrix will offer healthy entrees including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free items, along with fresh-squeezed juices.
We will keep a close eye on Beatrix and will provide more information if the project resumes construction!
