Walt Disney World has been distributing many different surveys asking about guest experiences regarding the new health and safety procedures.

We received a very detailed survey after returning from the grand re-opening day in Animal Kingdom. Many of the questions were standard while others were specifically asking about masks, physical distancing, and limited entertainment.
The survey was sent to our email automatically once we returned from the theme park. We didn’t encounter a Survey Cast Member that you might see outside the parks or Disney Springs.

The first few questions were standard survey questions regarding our arrival and departure experience, how often we visit Disney World, and when we might return.

We were then asked questions about our opinion in regard to all the new experiences that have been implemented. We answered questions about the ways character cavalcades are handled, our experience with visiting the animals, and how we felt about the quick-service mobile ordering process. We were also asked about the new shopping procedures and PhotoPass.

The next part of the survey is when they got into the details about how safe we felt when visiting Animal Kingdom. This was meant to include the ways security is always handled and the enhanced health and safety measures. We were also asked if we were able to get everything done that was most important to us.

Not only were we asked if we felt safe, but whether the changes will impact our decision to return to Disney World. This was a major part of the survey and they asked specifically about every new process that has been implemented like physical distancing, required face coverings, limited capacity, temperature screenings, limited character interactions, and enforcing mobile ordering for quick-service locations.

The survey asked specifically how we felt about visiting the parks prior to our visit. This included whether or not we wanted to wait until there was a vaccine available for COVID-19.

There was a section that asked more standard questions like whether we enjoyed Marvel, Star Wars, or Disney — in general. Then we were asked if we were aware of temperature screenings and required face coverings prior to visiting. We were also asked we saw Cast Members regularly cleaning areas and if the new health and safety procedures were too much, too little, or just right.

Again, we were asked about how we felt about visiting Disney World and whether health procedures like limiting capacity, masks, physical barriers, and guests/staff maintaining a distance reassured us.

The survey was a grand total of 65 pages and was mostly surrounding guests’ feelings about whether they felt safe and if the new procedures hindered their experience. The point of the survey is to improve the experience of Disney World guests. The new procedures continue to change every day and we’ll be sure to keep you updated as we learn more!
