Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway is opening in just a few days on March 4th and now we get to learn a little bit more about one of the cute new characters to be featured on the ride.

Chuuby is a happy orange bird that we’ve seen represented in the Runaway Railway merchandise, and we’re super pumped to see him in person! In the meantime, though, who really is Chuuby?
You might be wondering where the unique name of Chuuby (Chew-Bee) came from. Well according to the Orange County Register, it came from a typo! Someone misspelled the original name of Chubby and the spelling stuck with Imagineers.

And what kind of bird is Chuuby? Turns out, he’s a ham! He’s quite the song-and-dance bird and loves to perform. Chuuby is one of many new characters for the ride and we’re so excited to meet him.
Are you excited to meet Chuuby when Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway opens this week? Tell us in the comments!
Is this taking over for the “Orange Bird”? They’re very similar.
