It’s tradition for new Pixar films to air a short before the feature presentation, but you’ve probably never seen one quite like this before a Disney film!
The Simpsons are making a surprise appearance before Onward, Pixar’s latest film, with “Playdate with Destiny”, a new theatrical short starring Maggie!
Since the acquisition of The Simpsons by Disney, America’s Favorite Dysfunctional Family has been making appearances on Disney+, but this is the first time they’ve appeared before a Disney Feature Film!
The new short focuses on Maggie, the baby of the family, going on a wild adventure with a handsome young baby named Hudson and experiencing the first flickers of romance. This new short is just the first part of a longer episode, airing April 19th, focusing on the future adventures of these preschool paramours. Will their adventure be as epic as Ian and Barley’s? We’ll have to find out on March 6th!
