Soarin’ Across America officially opens in less than 10 days, and we are so excited for everyone to be able to experience this re-imagined ride on May 26th.

However, we got the chance to ride this attraction a little earlier during Cast Member previews, and if you can’t wait any longer to dive into all the new fun and details, we’ve got you covered. Here is a list of five things we learned riding the new Soarin’ for the first time!
#1 – The Queue
First of all, we noticed several banners highlighting the all-new theme, but most importantly, the popular trivia game is still available!

However, now, instead of questions themed around the world, the questions are all themed to the United States. We are so excited that this fan-favorite queue element has stuck around and gotten its own spin for this re-theme!

#2 – Scents
Every Soarin’ fan knows one of the best parts of the ride is the immersive scents. They are an iconic part of every version of Soarin’, so of course, there are some new scents for Soarin’ Across America.

We noticed three different scents when we rode. Grass in the prairie, hibiscus in Hawaii, and the swamp in Louisiana. While this is not as many as we expected, we are glad the scents still made an appearance!

#3 – Transitions
Other versions of this attraction were known for having extremely dramatic transitions. Where a bird would fly in front of your screen or a golf ball would fly straight at you, and it would transition into the next scene.

However, in this version, we noticed that the transitions were much less dramatic. In fact, all of the filming appeared to be more authentic and natural, compared to the more artificial filming used in previous versions.

#4 – Opening Scene
For us, this opening scene was the star of the show. The rocket was a big surprise, and as it took off while you were being raised, it really immersed you in this storytelling and set an amazing tone for the rest of the ride.

#5 – How It Compares To Other Versions
Soarin’ Across America was the quietest and most peaceful version of this ride we have ever experienced. It focused more on showcasing the scenery and beauty of America than giving us some of those more dramatic moments you found in other versions.

Overall, this re-theme was extremely well done, but we still felt like the other versions were better, and it’s hard to top our beloved Soarin’ Over California.

We really enjoyed our ride on Soarin’ Across America, and we can’t wait for everyone to experience this new ride on May 26th. Stay tuned with All Ears so you never miss anything!
