There’s perhaps no more quintessential Disney World experience than watching the Magic Kingdom’s nighttime fireworks explode over Cinderella Castle. However, Main Street can get quite crowded during these presentations, to the point where some Disney experts prefer watching them from other parts of the park.

From vantage points high and low to lands on the other side of the park and even from the seats of ride vehicles, our experts — including members of our esteemed YouTube team — have some surprising spots and strategies to catch the park’s nighttime spectaculars, including Happily Ever After.
Let’s start with CORN DOGS (always a good place to start, no doubt).

Emma likes to camp out at the edge of the hub near Casey’s Corner to get the clearest possible view of the projections on the castle, to the point where she’ll “go an hour early with my corn dog nuggets to watch!”

Moving from one side of the castle to the other, several members of the team — including Quincy — cast their appreciation for watching the fireworks from Fantasyland, specifically near Prince Charming Regal Carousel. Now, since this is behind the castle, we probably wouldn’t recommend this for your first time seeing the show, as you’ll miss the projections, but for later viewing, it’s a really fun sensation to get the perspective of being surrounded by the fireworks thanks to the various launch points around Fantasyland.

Let’s move back down Main Street — specifically ALL the way down Main Street to the Train Station’s elevated platform. As I’ve written before, this is one of my favorite spots in the park to catch the fireworks, and several members of our team, like JP, agree. In addition to the views, it provides the quickest way to get out of the park when the show ends!

Another option, if you’ve seen the show a few times and want to see it from different vantage points? Try timing a ride on the Astro Orbiter or the PeopleMover to catch part of the show from the elevated vantage point of these Tomorrowland attractions. You can also catch an amazing view of the fireworks from Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, though this is much trickier to time.

BONUS:
If you’re not a huge fireworks person, you can jump on some rides with lesser wait times while many in the park stake out their spots, then just watch from wherever you happen to be when they launch!

Next time you’re settling in to watch the Magic Kingdom’s fireworks, keep these locations in mind! Stay tuned to AllEars for more tips from our team!
