How about date night at Disney?

While Disney’s theme parks have always been and will always be a destination for families, the parks have also been a haven for romance since the beginning, as evidenced by the above vintage “Date Nite’ at Disneyland” poster. (Sidenote, Disney can you please start selling official replicas of that poster? Please and thank you.) So, what if we told you there was a way to have a romantic experience at the Magic Kingdom for only $20?!?
So here’s what you’ll need to do: After spending a fun-filled day experiencing everything Walt Disney World’s first theme park has to offer, make your way over to the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor before the nightly fireworks show.
Order up a pair of Plaza Ice Cream Sundaes for the two of you. These delicious goodies cost $9.29 each, and come complete with “Hot Fudge, Whipped Cream and a Cherry served in a Freshly Made Waffle Bowl with your choice of Two Hand-scoops of Ice Cream.”

Once you have your treats in hand, maneuver your way down Main Street, then up to the Main Street railroad platform. From there, the two of you will be able to enjoy your sundaes while watching the evening fireworks displays from one of our favorite vantage points in the park.

A word of warning though: Timing is imperative here. You’ll want to make sure you arrive at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor with enough time to order, get your treats, and get down to the train station (it gets pretty crowded over there as the fireworks draw closer, so be mindful of that) while at the same time not being too early where you’ll need to eat melting ice cream before the show even begins. Of course, the worst-case scenario here is you and your significant other will be “forced” to eat ice cream sundaes while watching fireworks from somewhere else at the Magic Kingdom.

If you’re looking to put a romantic cap on a day at the Magic Kingdom with some delicious ice cream and excellent fireworks views, all you’ll need is $20 and a good sense of timing. Stay tuned to AllEars for more fun Disney tips?
