We love EPCOT, but we love EPCOT history even more. So when we saw a reference to one of our favorite 80s attractions at The Odyssey, we had to share!

Figment has taken over The Odyssey building with Figment’s Inspiration Station for EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts. It serves up some great drinks and treats, but includes a nod to 80’s EPCOT that we loved!
Something we love about The Odyssey building’s takeovers is how on-theme they are. Last year, the building was converted to The Muppet’s‘ Dr. Honeydew and Beaker’s lab for the 2025 Food & Wine Festival. And now, for the Festival of the Arts, the building is covered in Figment decor!

The interior of the building is covered in rainbow projections that are a nod to the previous version of Figment from the 80’s. The original attraction starred our favorite dragon, Figment, but took you through his creation by Dreamfinder and their journey to collect dreams and imagination. The ride exit would take you to the playground ImageWorks featuring the iconic Rainbow Corridor.

The Rainbow Corridor, also known as the fan-coined Rainbow Tunnel, quickly became an EPCOT icon. It was bright and colorful in Disney’s signature style, but the colors would rotate along your walk, making it a fun blend of modern technology fitting for EPCOT. The tunnel became mainstream in 1984 when Michael Jackson took a photoshoot there while touring in Florida.

The Rainbow Corridor closed in 1992 when the Imagination Pavilion began renovations. ImageWorks was moved downstairs and renamed ImageWorks – The “What If” Labs. The second floor of the pavilion remained closed for years until it reopened in 2016 as a Disney Vacation Club lounge.

Figment’s Inspiration Station is covered in rainbows and stars as a nod to the iconic Rainbow Tunnel of the 80’s. While you’re checking out the decor, grab some limited-time food like the Figment Fantasy Cake for $5.79. It’s a sponge cake filled with strawberry whipped cream and topped with white chocolate ganache and orange icing.

You can also get a souvenir popcorn bucket of our favorite purple dragon in his artist gear. The Figment Artist Popcorn Bucket is available while supplies last for $29. It’s exclusively through mobile orders and comes with rainbow popcorn included.

There’s so much Figment at this year’s Festival of the Arts that we could write a guide for an entire Figment day. But in the meantime, Disney historians and Figment lovers alike should head to Figment’s Imagination Station for some colorful fun. Stay tuned to All Ears for more EPCOT news!
