For families who prioritize character interactions, knowing where to go (and when) makes all the difference. Thanks to a popular attraction closing for refurbishment, Storybook Circus has recently adjusted how its meet and greets are organized across the land in a way that changes the flow but keeps the fun (and the hugs) coming!
If character meet and greets are a must-do on your Magic Kingdom days, there’s a small (but important) update you’ll want to know about over in Storybook Circus.
Storybook Circus
Anyone planning to visit Pete’s Silly Sideshow will notice that the typical character meet and greet location for these Disney pals is currently under refurbishment.
But that doesn’t mean that all hope is lost in saying “hello” to the characters within the land. You’ll just have to pivot your plans here a bit because they have been split into two locations throughout the land, rather than all taking place inside their usual building altogether. This means you’re in luck because your favorite classic characters are still meeting folks regularly — just in slightly different spots.
Refurb walls are up
Near the entrance sign to Storybook Circus is where you can now meet Minnie Mouse and Goofy, creating a fun, welcoming photo opportunity as you enter the land.

Meanwhile, Donald and Daisy Duck have moved closer to the back of Storybook Circus near the Storybook Circus station for Walt Disney World Railroad, offering another dedicated meet and greet location tucked a bit deeper into the area.

These character appearances are happening continuously throughout the day, much like they did inside Pete’s Silly Sideshow before. Characters rotate in and out with short breaks for switch-offs, so while you may see brief pauses, the overall flow remains very line-friendly. This setup helps keep lines moving and gives families more flexibility when planning character stops.
Look for the taped queues on the ground
Spreading the meet and greets across the land also makes Storybook Circus feel more alive, with character interactions happening in multiple areas rather than funneling everyone into a single spot. It’s especially helpful for families with little ones, since you can now plan character meet-ups around attractions like Dumbo the Flying Elephant and the Barnstormer.

If meeting Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy is high on your Magic Kingdom priority list, just be sure to note their new locations when you arrive. A quick look at the area (or a glance at the My Disney Experience app) can help you decide which characters to visit first.
Daisy and Goofy!
We’re not exactly sure how long Disney plans for Pete’s Silly Sideshow to be under refurbishment, but its latest update did mention it’s planned as temporary. It’s a small change, but one that makes character spotting in Storybook Circus a little more dynamic and just as silly as ever.
We’ll be certain to let you know as soon as Disney drops a date for when you can expect to meet with these Disney pals once again inside Pete’s Silly Sideshow, as well as keep you updated on the latest Disney news and happenings. Be sure you’re following along with us right here at AllEars!
