At last! The chilly winter season is coming to an end, and we’re ready for spring. Of course, we aren’t the only ones! Disney World is preparing for a SUPER eventful spring season starting this March. We’re excited to enjoy the next seasonal EPCOT festival, and we’re bracing for CROWDS as spring break approaches.

Somehow, March is right around the corner, and that means a bunch of new Disney World CHANGES are on the horizon. If you’re planning a trip to Disney World this March, here are all the biggest changes and events happening throughout the month!
EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival Begins
It’s happening — stay calm! The EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival will run this year from March 5th to June 2nd, 2025. This festival features topiary displays and landscapes that transform EPCOT into a springy, floral destination perfect for an evening stroll.

One of our favorite parts of the event (besides all the FOOD, of course) is the Garden Rocks Concert Series! The concert series is returning to the American Gardens Theater from March 5th to June 2nd, 2025. On select nights, you can catch some popular artists performing in EPCOT at 5:30 PM, 6:45 PM, and 8:00 PM. Free concert — SCORE!

Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros Ride Reopening
The Mexico Pavilion at EPCOT is home to a cult favorite attraction. Yes, it’s the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros!

This attraction has been closed for a while; the ride was shut down for an extended refurbishment starting on January 6th, 2025. The ride is expected to reopen on March 15th, 2025. Note that this date is subject to change — we’ve seen refurbs get extended and shortened, so that could be possible with this ride as well.

Spring Break
If you’re trying to avoid going to Disney World during the “busy season,” you might want to avoid the parks during spring break. While there is no set date for this unofficial holiday, the spring break crowds tend to arrive around March 15th.

Spring break varies by school district, so as a general warning, we say that crowds are likely to stick around from mid-March to mid-April. The week before Easter is typically the most crowded, and this year, Easter falls on Sunday, April 20th.

Mardi Gras
Oh, and speaking of holidays, there’s another one happening in March — Mardi Gras! While Disney World doesn’t celebrate this holiday quite as much as Universal Orlando, you can still catch a cute little parade at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort on March 4th.

In the past, we’ve even spotted Princess Tiana and her friends celebrating at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort.
