Are you excited to see the new Tron: Ares movie?
Tron: Ares will be the third installment of the Tron film series and will be released on October 10th, 2025. It follows the second film Tron: Legacy and features a cast of well-known actors. Recently, one of the stars of the film made it to Magic Kingdom and headed into the grid!
Jared Leto, a musician and actor known for Suicide Squad and Blade Runner, plays Ares in the upcoming Tron film. In the film, Ares is a highly sophisticated program that is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission.
Well, it turns out that Ares, a.k.a. Jared Leto, wanted to return to the grid. A few days ago, Leto visited Magic Kingdom and rode TRON Lightcycle /Run. He was all smiles as he exclaimed, “I feel like I’m home!” before boarding the ride.
It is very appropriate that the actor who plays Ares has now ridden the ride dedicated to the film series.
He clearly enjoyed himself as he went soaring off on the roller coaster!
Jeff Bridges is also known for his part in the Tron series as he starred in the original and has continued to be apart of the following two movies. The ride TRON Lightcycle / Run opened in Magic Kingdom on April 4th, 2023 and is one of the most popular rides in the park.
Currently, TRON can be ridden by getting a Virtual Queue boarding group or Lightning Lane Single Pass. A standby line for the ride is currently only available during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and occasionally during select other after hours events.
