Disney recipes always get us so excited to get cookin’!

We fill our homes with Disney apparel and decorative items to feel the magic even when we’re away from the parks, but another way we love to remember how the parks make us feel is to cook and bake recipes that are from our favorite parks and resorts. Disney has TONS of official recipes online that you can recreate at home, and another one has just landed online — this one all the way from Disney’s Aulani Resort in Hawaii!
Disney’s Aulani Resort may not be near any Disney theme park, but most people travel to this deluxe destination to experience the resort itself; there’s no need for theme park fun!

Since it’s located in Hawaii, you’ll get views and experiences you’ll get at no other Disney resort, and that includes some of the food you get to eat! Disney is now sharing the recipe to make Aulani’s Mickey Mouse-shaped Musubi from Ulu Cafe — this recipe serves four people and combines the savory nature of the dish with the sweetness of the homemade sauce. Just trust us; it’s fantastic — let’s dive right in!

Ingredients
- 2 cups steamed sushi rice, at room temperature
- 4 ounces SPAM
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup shoyu soy sauce
- 1 sheet nori, cut into 3/4-inch wide strips
- 4 teaspoons furikake seasoning
Instructions
- Fill a 3 1/2 inch Mickey Mouse-shaped cookie cutter with 1/2 cup cooked sushi rice. Carefully unmold rice onto a plate. Repeat with remaining rice. Set aside.
- Slice SPAM into 1/4-inch pieces. Heat sauté pan over medium heat for 5 minutes, until hot. Cook SPAM for 3 minutes on each side, until browned. Remove from pan. Add sugar and shoyu soy sauce in pan and reduce heat to medium-low. Cook for 3-5 minutes, until slightly thickened.
- Return SPAM to shoyu-sugar sauce and cook for 4 minutes, turning after 2 minutes. Remove from pan and drain on paper towels.
- Place SPAM horizontally across Mickey Mouse-shaped rice. Wrap with nori strip. Garnish ears with furikake.

And there you have it! Now you have a delectable dish to feel the Disney magic at home AND impress your friends with your cooking skills.
