We've Got Bad News and Good News About Disney's Pocahontas Flotilla Sighting ?

A LOT of big changes are coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

For starters, at some point, DinoLand, U.S.A. will be overhauled with a new theme focused on the Tropical Americas — there’s even a chance it will include Encanto and Indiana Jones. Also, recently, all but one of the character flotilla sightings have ended, although some of those characters now have their own meet-and-greets instead, including Pocahontas.

Yes, you can now have a face-to-face meeting with Pocahontas. She recently returned to her pre-2020 meeting spot at The Oasis (near the front of Animal Kingdom). We stopped by to get a peek at her as she was greeting folks in this spot.

Pocahontas is one of the characters you could only previously see on the flotillas that floated down Discovery River.

Other characters from the flotillas with meet-and-greets now include Goofy and Pluto, who meet behind Chester and Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures. However, several of the characters who no longer have flotillas or meet-and-greets at this time include Meeko, Rafiki, Timon, Launchpad McQuack, and Scrooge McDuck. Disney teased that Rafiki and Timon may start meeting again later this year, so look out for updates.
