BUTTERBEER ALERT! You Can Now Get This Iconic Harry Potter Land Drink WITHOUT a Park Ticket

BUTTERBEER ALERT! BUTTERBEER ALERT! This is not a drill, people.

You know it, you love it — okay, maybe you don’t know or love it, which makes this awkward. Butterbeer is the iconic drink from the Harry Potter universe that’s available at Universal Orlando parks. This delicious concoction was ONLY available in the parks…until now!

We’ve got excellent news for you butterbeer fans out there — you can now get it without a park ticket! The Universal Studios Store at CityWalk has been transformed to feature two all new areas — one dedicated to SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, and the other is all about the Wizarding World of Harry Potter!

But, that’s not even the best part! The Wizarding World of Harry Potter section features a BUTTERBEER BAR. Yep, that’s right. There’s a butterbeer bar located in CityWalk now, which means you can get butterbeer without having to buy a ticket to Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios, or Epic Universe.

As of right now, they only have cold and frozen butterbeer here, as they just recently opened. When we asked if they were planning on expanding their menu to include other butterbeer treats available in the theme parks, the Team Members weren’t too sure.

There didn’t seem to be too much foot traffic at the butterbeer bar or in this section of the store when we stopped by, but it’s likely because it hasn’t widely been advertised yet.

You can choose from cold and frozen butterbeer, and both the regular whipped topping and the dairy-free whipped topping can be found here. Annual pass and Team Member discounts are available, as well as other Universal Orlando discounts.

As far as the butterbeer goes, we opted for the frozen since it was a hot day, and as always — it was delicious! It’s certainly sweet, so keep that in mind if you’re a first-timer. It’s essentially cream soda and butterscotch — it’s nutty and sweet, and the whipped topping adds the perfect touch of creaminess.
