We Spotted a CLUE About a New Confusing Attraction Coming to Magic Kingdom ?

Magic Kingdom is about to get something NEW!

No, we’re not talking about that massive expansion that Disney keeps mentioning without giving us complete details about. We’re not even talking about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which opens this summer. No, another new attraction is coming to Magic Kingdom — and it will ask you to sniff your way around Storybook Circus.

That attraction is Smellephants on Parade, which is a family-friendly “search and sniff adventure” presented by Scentsy. We’ve previously spotted signs that the new attraction is coming soon (the signs say “Presented by Scentsy.”)

We’ve even noticed that the bushes next to the Casey Jr. Splash ‘n’ Soak Station have been removed, perhaps as a precursor of something new being added in that spot for the new attraction. A new permit was recently filed for this area for the “installation of show sets.”

Well, we think maybe at least one installation for Smellephants on Parade has started. There are some bushes set up in front of Big Top Souvenirs in Storybook Circus. Something here is also missing: the ticket booth!

Now, we wouldn’t think too much about bushes and a missing ticket booth, but knowing that this new attraction is coming, we had to take a closer look. Underneath those bushes, we spotted a huge hole in the concrete with some kind of stuff in there, suggesting that something else is going there. We’re pretty sure it’s something to do with Smellephants on Parade.

Update! We checked this location even more recently, and Disney had changed up the obstacle over the big hole in the concrete. Now there are trash cans in front of the whole thing, perhaps to keep us from looking at the big hole in the concrete beneath.

Disney has not yet revealed an opening timeline for the new attraction, but we’ll be keeping an eye out for it. In the meantime, check back with AllEars again soon for more.
