We’ve loved all the birthdays we’ve celebrated in the parks. We’ve also loved celebrating big occasions like The Walt Disney Company’s 100th Anniversary in Disney World. So it makes sense that when a sports team wins a big championship, their first words after winning is often, “I’m going to Disney World.” Well, another big winner will be headed to the parks in Orlando soon!

After a nail-biting NCAA championship game that saw the South Carolina Gamecocks defeat the Iowa Hawkeyes with a final score of 87-75, South Carolina Head Coach Dawn Staley is going to Disney World. During the trophy presentation, someone asked Staley what she planned to do next, and she responded with those infamous words, “I’m headed to Disney World!”

Staley is an American basketball Hall of Famer who also has three Olympic gold medals with Team USA under her belt. She also later went on to head coach another U.S. gold medal-winning team. She’s also a four-time Naismith Coach of the Year winner. According to Disney, her “upcoming visit continues Disney Park’s storied legacy of celebrating the greatest champions in sports.”
